Lead Therapist: Mohamed Youssef - Senior Physiotherapist - Cardio-respiratory

Mohamed Youssef is a chartered physiotherapist with advanced qualifications and many years of experience in a number of senior positions. Youssef first qualified from The University of Cairo in 1977 with a BSC in Physiotherapy and studied to complete his MSc in Respiratory. He then went on to complete his PhD at the National College of Naprapathy in Chicago, USA.

Youssef has been a practising physiotherapist since 1977, working in a variety of clinics and hospitals all over the world. He began his career at the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia and has since worked in Qatar, Dubai, Florida, Illinois and then moved to the UK, where he has been working as a Senior Physiotherapist and Head of Department at clinics and hospitals in Kent, Camden and Kingston.

Youssef has been active in continuing his professional development since his PhD, where he has also completed the following professional certificates: Introduction to Acupuncture, Orthopaedic Medicine, Postural Instability Instructor and Supplementary Prescribing (London Metropolitan University). He is also a keen member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, the Health Professional Council and the American Physical Therapy Association.

Youssef is also a COPD Consultant who worked with a variety of NHS Trusts. His extensive qualifications and experience gained through his career have enabled him to expertly diagnose, treat and care for patients with a range of conditions. He is passionate about being able to help his patients put an end to their pain and return to a happy and active life.

Yasser Zied - Neuro Rehabilitation and Sports Injuries physiotherapist

Yasser Zied has a BSc in Physiotherapy (Neuro-rehabilitation) from the University of Cairo, Egypt. Zied’s core area of expertise is in treating sports injuries and neurological injuries and he is W1 Physiotherapy’s Sports Injuries Specialist. He expertly treats all sports-related problems and whiplash injuries, as well as people living with MS and Parkinson's disease.

Yasser practised as a Neuro-Physiotherapist in hospitals and clinics in the UK and abroad, before moving to private clinical assignment at W1 Physio.

He developed a special interest and completed various international courses in Stroke Rehabilitation and Uncoordinated Movement Treatment. His special interest lies in treating tremor, spasticity and other various tonus abnormalities.

Lili Useinova - Physiotherapist

Lili Useinova has a BSc in Physiotherapy from Brunel University, London. 

Her areas of expertise include promoting general health and well-being through exercise, postural and ergonomic correction, in addition to the use of appropriate manual physiotherapy techniques. Useinova specialises in the treatment of back and neck pain; she also uses sports and connective tissue massage widely in her treatments. Her area of expertise is MSK and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation.

Hussam Lashin, MCSP

Hussam has had over 17 years of experience as a Physiotherapist since qualifying from Cairo University. Hussam has worked over a variety of settings from being selected as a personal physiotherapist to Sheikhs in the Gulf, to working within world class rehabilitation units for orthopaedic and spinal injuries.

Over the years he has developed osteopathic and Pilates techniques to assist with the treatment of back pain. Hussam has been working at BMI Blackheath Hospital for over seven years where he has further developed his post-operative and musculoskeletal skills. Hussam uses a variety of manual, manipulative and exercise techniques to assist patients' recoveries. His areas of special interest are spinal and lower limb rehabilitation
